Data and your listing
Last reviewed: 24 August 2026
This page is the public explanation of listing sources and removal. It sits alongside the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy still follows the BDSA website notice and does not yet describe all Register processing. See the Privacy Register annex.
This page explains where the information on the register comes from, and how a school can have its listing corrected or removed.
Where listings come from
Listings on the register are drawn from two sources: information that schools add or claim themselves, and information about dance schools that is already publicly available, for example on a school's own website or public directory entries.
For every listing drawn from public information, we record where the information came from and when. Listings created this way are always marked as unverified, because they reflect information we have gathered, not an assessment we have carried out.
Correcting your listing
If your school is listed and the details are wrong or out of date, you can claim your school to correct them, or contact us at info@bdsassociation.com and we will put it right.
Claim your schoolRemoving your listing
If you run a dance school and you do not want it listed on the register, you can ask us to remove it. We will remove the listing within one calendar month of your request. Once removed, a school is not added back automatically from public sources. Contact us at info@bdsassociation.com to request removal.
